The Experience

Nestled in a remote bay of Prince William Sound, Jumping Salmon Lodge offers a unique Alaskan experience featuring world class Halibut, Salmon, Lingcod and 30 species of Alaska Pacific Rockfish.  Kayaking and hunting are also offered from our comfortable, full service lodge.

We are a short 40minute flight from Anchorage over majestic mountains, Alaskan glaciers and beautiful waters. You can arrive on a float plane and step right off onto our dock. We can arrange all transportation to and from us to make your trip planning as easy as possible.

After you are settled into your private ocean front cabin, you can fish for all 5 species of salmon and about 30 species of rock fish. Abundant animal and sea life surrounds us. Humpback Whales, Sea Otters, Orca Whales, Black Bear, Deer, Bald Eagles, and a myriad of birds and other gorgeous scenery are out our front door.

A full lunch, snacks and drinks are served onboard one of our fully equipped fishing boats. Upon return to the lodge, relax on the deck as you watch your catch being processed, bagged and stored, all included in your package. A full course dinner is served on the main deck or your private deck (your choice), overlooking the bay. Meals include New York steaks, prime rib, smoked game hens, fresh caught fish of the day, fresh caught shrimp, fresh chowders, full breakfasts with gourmet specialties, deserts made with our fresh picked blueberries and salmon berries, and assorted pies and cakes.

After dinner, relax by the fire on the deck and watch the bald eagles, maybe see a bear walking along the beach, a sea otter floating by or the occasional whale that takes a nap in front of the lodge. Later, dig for clams on the beaches, take a hike to the hidden cove and pick salmon and blue berries, do some sea kayaking (included in package), or fish right off the dock. End your evening with a relaxing steam bath in our sauna, and a hot shower in the bath house.

Many clients will combine kayaking, wildlife viewing, hiking, mountain climbing, berry picking, and some fishing in their vacation plans. We have great hiking and mountain climbing conditions.

Jumping Salmon Lodge is very secluded, we offer very personalized experiences. You can leave your watches and timepieces at home. With over 20 hours of daylight in the summer, we have the time to not only learn your name, but also get a feel for what you like. Perhaps one of the members of your party does not feel like fishing one day... we will show you how and where to hike, pick berries, take in the sights, or even fish off the dock and wait for the Stellar Sea Lions and Otters to swim past. We take pride in maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
