Salmon Lodge
Wildlife and Sealife Viewing
Our location
is Prince William Sound affords beautiful and rich wildlife and sea life
viewing. From your private deck, whales, sea otters, black bears and bald
eagles are available almost daily for viewing. We offer guided marine
tours to see more of the fantastic species of birds in the area, as well
as orca whales and humpback whales. Sea otters are everywhere and you
can view majestic Alaskan Glaciers and even bring back a chunk of glacial
ice for your freezer. |

The lodge
offers a variety of hiking and mountain climbing opportunities to get
you closer to the wonderful plants and flowers of Evans Island. Berries
are rich and plentiful for you to pick and eat. You may also want to take
a kayak trip to get closer to the gorgeous scenery and animals. We offer
guided and unguided kayaking trips for groups, families or couples. You
can also take a walk along our beaches and coastline to see the abundant
shell fish and plant life.
The area
is rich in the cultural history of the Alutiq Indian People of the Region.
The Native Alaskan Village of Chenega Bay is only 10 minutes away and
offers cultural opportunities and a small museum to view artifacts. |
